A small but powerful LinkedIn feature for job seekers
Show recruiters that you’re willing to relocate (open to remote work)
Hey everyone,
I wanted to make this article short, but informative and practical.
Some time ago, I chatted with a Dutch recruiter who used the paid version of LinkedIn for hiring. He said I could easily find Java developers ready to move to the Netherlands. I could sort them by key skills and other criteria. Then, I can create a shortlist of candidates to reach out to.
Anyone with a LinkedIn Recruiter licence can do so. This licence was - and still is - pretty expensive.
LinkedIn wants more money to better serve its users, so it added this feature and now offers a simpler version of the license called Recruiter Lite.

So, if you’re looking for a job outside your country, you can help recruiters identify that immediately.
Here is what you need to do:
Click on the Open to button below your profile.
Choose “Finding a job”.
Add “Onsite Locations”. You’re limited to 5, but the interesting part is that you can even list the whole region like “Europe” or “EMEA”
You can also choose Remote work if you want.
The best part is you don’t need the “Open to network” badge if you don’t want to show it to your network or current employer. This will only be seen by recruiters with a LinkedIn Recruiter or LinkedIn Recruiter Lite licence.
That’s it.
I hope it can boost your chances of being noticed by international recruiters.
So the following question is how to make my LinkedIn shine.
On Monday, March 31st, I’ll announce the next LinkedIn review session. It will be similar to the past resume review sessions.
Stay tuned, and have a great Sunday!
The third point - super tip!
