Awesome list! Curious, do you think dev-friendly resumes get noticed faster than flashy templates?

Good question! I think something simple and nicely designed would be best. Recruiters, who review many CVs per day, might also appreciate visual attractiveness, but not overly fancy illustrations with emojis and an array of colours.

There is no 'silver bullet'. You could experiment with two CV templates and see which one secures more responses from recruiters.

Hey, I would recommend YAMLResume here, https://yamlresume.dev, which is inspired by JSON Resume but offers an opinionated, batter-included resume solution.

Takes a look at for the detailed comparison: https://yamlresume.dev/docs/comparisons/json-resume

One of the major goals of YAMLResume is to provide pixel perfect output for resumes, which provide "visual attractiveness`, so it bundles first class LaTeX engine for pixel perfect PDFs.

Besides, it also offers HTML and Markdown output, check out its show cases: https://github.com/yamlresume/yamlresume/discussions/50
